Mrs. John Derr died at an early hour Monday after an illness of some weeks at the home of her father, Henry Yearling, 233 South Sugar Street. Mr. & Mrs. Derr removed from this city to Marion where Mr. Derr secured a position with the Marion Brewing Co. Mr. Derr fell ill with typhoid fever and at once became very seriously ill. The Derr family was in precarious circumstances and the Richland County Infirmary directors were compelled to extend them some help. Mrs. Derr also became ill, they removed to this city and were taken to the home of Mr. Yearling. Mrs. Derr grew rapidly worse until her death this morning. Her husband is convalescing. She leaves three small children.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday conducted by Rev. Buesser of the German Reformed church.
